Description

A work of instrumental genius Claude Debussy here demonstrates his true talent. As the 3rd movement from the Suite Bergamasque opus number CD 82, L.75 Debussy commenced writing it in 1890 at age 28, but did not finish or publish it until 1905. It is the most famous movement of Suite bergamasque and its name comes from Paul Verlaines poem of the same name. Clair De Lune, the French term for moonlight has been orchestrated by many composers, including Andre Caplet, Leopold Stokowski, and Lucien Cailliet. It is Often performed at weddings and in popular culture this beautiful and lyrical piece has been featured on TV, as advertisement music, in many films and in video games including Frankie and Johnny, Oceans Eleven, Greys Anatomy, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Good Wife The Simpsons, Boardwalk Empire, The Muppet Show, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, White Collar, The Sopranos, South Park, Mr Selfridge, Atonement, Seven Years in Tibet, Casino Royale and Gran Turismo.
